"What is the value of tracing images? When is it okay to copy something? When can it get you in trouble? Relate this to your work in this class."
I personally think that the value of tracing art work is just to help get use to drawing and help train your self to be familiar with the tools in illustrator. The down side to tracing is that it really doesn't symbolically represent what your thinking and shows more of what the actual artist's perspectives are. copying art work diminishes the value of the art peice it's self, and the copier can get in trouble for it. Especially if they are selling it for profit. There for it is not okay to copy art work and can get the copier in serious trouble. It is only okay to copy art work for instructional and educational purposes.
